Refurbished bar at Alwoodley Golf Club opening soon
Posted 17th February 2015
Following extensive remodeling, the spike bar at Alwoodley Golf Club is now finished. We would like to thank the members for their patience during construction especially as the beer has only been available in bottled form!
As a member of Alwoodley Golf Club, Mike Wildblood was more that happy to lend his expertise to the re-planning and refurbishment of the spike bar in the club house. The old spike bar was certainly the most used room in the club. Considering this it is then maybe a little surprising that it was also one of the smallest. Resolving this and creating a far more welcoming and usable space was the mainstay of our brief.
To help inform members of the proposed changes we were also commissioned to generate some photo-realistic images of what the finish bar may look like. As you can see from the images below our in house expert Ian Grainger did a fantastic job. We will post photos of the finished bar in due course to see if you spot the difference.

We would also like to thank C & A J Marshall who were the main contractors on the project and have done a fantastic job - on time and under budget! If all projects could go this smoothly we might all have better finger nails and fewer grey hairs.
